Introducing Project 111; A Dive into the How and Why.
Project 111 is a CSR initiative brought to you by the Retail Banking Division of Access Bank. It is a project focused on Fibroid treatment and awareness.
Our mission is to impact one woman, one family and one generation at a time.
What are fibroids? They are huge tumors that develop in the uterus and cause heavy bleeding, bloating, & pain in women, reducing their quality of life, confidence, and causing infertility.
It is estimated that 70 to 80 percent of women will develop fibroids during their lifetime, while 61% are unaware of fibroids treatment options.
Why this Initiative? The CSR project of the Retail Banking Division of Access Bank Seeks to;
- Raise awareness & dispel myths about fibroids.
- Provide infrastructural support to enable accurate & timely disease diagnosis.
- Increase community advocacy to help women living with fibroids.
- Provision infrastructural support to enable accurate & timely disease diagnosis.
- Promote access to care by providing free & discounted consultations and treatments.
We seek to achieve our aim by doing the following;
- Sponsorship support for fibroid treatment surgeries
- Infrastructure facelift & donations to health centers across the 6 geo-political zones via the "Adopt a Fibroid Care Centre" initiative.
- Community health talks with Fibroid experts.
- Activities to raise health awareness e.g Health walks.
- Launch a dedicated website with health information, free health consultations, & discount possibilities.
