Agribusiness encompasses all economic activities and commercial enterprise involved in farming; the processing, storage, marketing, handling and export of farm products and agro-based commodities; and in the manufacture, distribution and supply of fertilizers, agrochemicals, farm machineries and equipment and other farming inputs.

  • Advisory services - we offer up-to-date industry information to guide our clients for effective decision making that impacts positively on their business objectives.
  • Market Linkages – the Agribusiness Group provides guidance and linkages to B2B opportunities for players within the Agric sector, for collaboration and partnership for mutual growth of their businesses.
  • Financial services – In collaboration with other relevant internal stakeholders, we assess agribusiness proposals and then refer them for the best-fit financing, that is beneficial to the client’s specific business operation. We have disbursed loans across all segments of the Agribusiness value chain, to include SMEs, mid-sized corporates, large corporates as well gender-focused agribusiness.
  • SME-focused - We provide cost-effective lending to the underserved market for agribusiness-SMEs, in furtherance of the Bank’s sustainable banking philosophy.
  • Women-in-Agribusiness (W-Ag) initiative – We understand the importance of women to the Agribusiness sector and have hence developed a bespoke initiative that address both financial and non-financial challenges peculiar to the segment.
  • Product development and sales - we develop bespoke and demand-driven agribusiness banking products that serve the need of prospective and existing agribusinesses.
