This February, the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon will join other elite races across the world with over 100,000 runners expected to participate in the 42Km full marathon and the 10Km fun run.

All registered runners who complete the full race on or before the official cut-off time will receive an official ABLCM finisher’s medal and certificate.
  • Online: Register via the official website at www.lagoscitymarathon.com (required for international participants).
  • Physical Forms: Available at all Access Bank branches nationwide and at the Marathon Office, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere
Registration for the 2026 Lagos City Marathon is free for all participants
Yes. For your safety, every runner must be willing to present a medical certificate where necessary, stating there is no contraindication to their participation in the marathon.
There are two main categories:
  • 42KM Full Marathon: For elite athletes and endurance runners.
  • 10KM Fun Run: Perfect for beginners, fitness enthusiasts, and families.
  • 42KM Elite (Men & Women): Top prize is $50,000, with cash awards down to the 8th position.
  • 42KM Nigerian Category: Top prize is ₦2,000,000, with awards down to the 10th position.
  • 10KM Race: Top prize is ₦500,000, with awards down to the 5th position.
Both races officially close at 12:30 PM.
  • 42KM: 6-hour cut-off for medal eligibility.
  • Sweeper Bus: Runners picked up by the official sweeper bus are deemed not to have finished; their bibs will be marked, making them ineligible for medals.
  • 42KM Race: Flag-off is at 6:30 AM.
  • 10KM Race: Flag-off is at 9:30 AM.
Bib collection will take place at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, from February 3 to February 13, 2026, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM daily. You must bring a valid proof of identification
The race is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026.
  • 42KM Start: Orca Shopping Mall, Ahmadu Bello Way (running through the
  • Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road).
  • 10KM Start: Grace Garden Event Center, Lekki.
  • Finish Line (All Races): Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island
The 10KM race is a fun run for everybody. To maintain fairness, any athlete registered under an athletics federation or professional body (domestic or foreign) is not eligible to compete in the 10KM category.
Yes. Official hydration points provided by Aquafina are positioned at 2.5km intervals along the route (e.g., 2.5km, 5km, 7.5km, etc.) and at the finish line. Participants are strictly advised to rely only on official hydration points for safety.
