Family Farming Scheme
Partnership with Lagos Food Bank
This collaboration aimed to empower vulnerable women and youths to become food-secure and self-reliant through the Family Farming program. The backyard farming intervention is aimed at providing women and youths with the necessary knowledge and resources to establish their own backyard farms, ensuring a sustainable source of food and livelihood. Beneficiaries were trained in modern vegetable farming techniques even with limited land space, how to identify the soil to use and the right nutrient, and how to identify different seeds.

Poultry Farming Training
Expert-Led Sessions
Beneficiaries received training in poultry farming from notable consultants. They were also taught how to market their poultry to increase their income and better support their households. And Many beneficiaries earned additional income by selling surplus farm produce, chicken, and snails, improving their economic status.

Empowerment Resources
Provision of Materials
Participants were provided with seedlings, poultry birds, and associated materials to help them launch their farming businesses. Beneficiaries reported consistent access to fresh vegetables, reducing food insecurity.

Skill Development
Beneficiaries gained practical agricultural skills, enabling them to manage and expand their farms effectively. They actively shared their knowledge with other community members, thereby extending the program’s reach and impact.
