Access Bank wins four(4) CBN Sustainability Awards

Access Bank emerged winner in all four (4) categories at the CBN Sustainability Awards over the weekend.

The award categories are:

  •   Sustainable Bank of the Year
  •   Sustainable Transaction of the Year (Oil and Gas Sector)
  •   Sustainable Transaction of the Year (Agriculture)
  •   Excellence in Women Economic Empowerment.

These awards come shortly after the Bank emerged winner in five (5) award categories at the Sustainability, Enterprise and Responsibility Awards (SERAs):

  •   Most Responsible Company of the Year Africa (Overall Winner)
  •   Best Company in CSR/Sustainability in West Africa
  •   Best Company in Climate Action
  •   Most Outstanding CSR Practitioner of the Year, Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan (Head, Sustainability)
  •   Sustainability Champion of the Year, Herbert Wigwe (GMD/CEO).

Recall that earlier this year, the Bank was also awarded the Most Sustainable Bank of the Year Award by World Finance for the 7th time and the Most Outstanding Business Sustainability Award by Karlsruhe Sustainable Finance Awards for the 2nd consecutive time.

This brings the total number of Sustainability awards won in 2017 to fourteen (14).

We are indeed on the path to becoming the World’s Most Respected African Bank.
