Africa runs together

The Access Bank Lagos City Marathon has evolved into more than a competitive sporting event; it now stands as a platform for promoting unity and collaboration across Africa. In 2025, the marathon welcomed participants from 42 African nations to the streets of Lagos, reflecting the diversity and strength of the continent. As we prepare for the 2026 edition, we look forward to hosting an even broader representation of Africa’s running community, united by shared values of excellence, purpose, and solidarity.
