Krosszn is the real deal
How long did it take for you and Loti to cook up the song?
It was quick actually. I made the record back in 2019 but didn’t send it out till this year. And Loti was incredible, he sent his verse like three days after he heard it.
There’s a lot of anticipation surrounding the EP. What should fans expect from it?
It will be some of the best music they’ve listened to this year. Trust me.
What’s the inspiration behind the EP ‘Fingers Krossed’?
The EP is basically inspired by how I was feeling at the time I started making the EP and how I felt when it ended. It’s like a journey through my emotions from the beginning of the project till the end, which spanned about eight months.
I was single and just got out of a long term relationship, then we got together again.
So you could also say it’s about
the fear of committing to a person, considering how a lot of relationships in this generation end and all that.
How long did it take to make ‘Fingers Krossed’? it?
The EP took about 8 months.
What’s your fave track on the ep?
Wow, that’s hard, but I think I’ll go with ‘Magic’. It’s quite a magical track to be honest, the title fits it.
is There a particular reason why?
I spent so much time on that record and I just enjoyed the process the most.

Rising Stars: Krosszn
Since releasing his hit single ‘Work Hard’ last year,
the talented artiste has experienced an increase in fans and listeners, with a number of music enthusiasts acknowledging that Krosszn is the real deal.
Dropping a cover for Ladipoe’s ‘Lemme Know’, Krosszn’s talent couldn’t go unnoticed.
Krosszn has continued to grow gradually and he’s set to release his debut EP ‘Fingers Krossed’ on the 25th of September this year, but first he has scheduled two singles ‘Zombie’ and ‘Challenge’ for release, with the latter featuring fellow rising star, Loti.
Accelerate TV got to talk to Krosszn about his upcoming EP, working with Loti and more. Check out the interview below.
You are currently making music abroad, how do you manage to tap your roots and connect with fans back in Nigeria?
Honestly man, I only listen to Nigerian music still. I’m a Naija boy, so it’s all I really know, you get? Plus that’s where most of my listeners are, so I always connect to them and stuff.
Has it had any impact on your music?
Yes, it definitely has. Cause I get to listen to all types of music and all, but my foundation is still based on Naija.
Being in school, how was the reaction of your parents when you decided to make music?
Well, I’m not studying music, I’m just making it. I try to combine the two pretty well. And to them, it’s more or less of a side hustle, not like I’m
dropping out of school or anything. As long as I got the degree in the bag, it’s all good.
So do you plan on going into music full time? Maybe when you’re done with school.
Definitely bro. Most definitely.
Do they know that though?
Yes they do, it’s more like an opportunity thing. If the opportunity to be very successful is there then why not.
Did you grow up in Lagos?
Yes men
What was it like for you?
I loved it, bro
Do you get to link or work with the other young artistes in Lagos or Nigeria like yourself?
Yes, most definitely. Worked with a couple like Loti, The Intro & OGP to name a few.
Speaking of Loti, you have an EP coming out soon, which he is on. What was it
like working with him?
He is very professional and strict when it comes to his music.
I hope we get to work together more in the future.
