Sandra Orgu
Team Member, Women Banking
Hello, I am Sandra Orgu. I am a gender enthusiast and I work with the Women Banking Team in PGDs Place, Lagos State.
I realized my passion for sustainable development far back in high school. Understanding the need for education and how it affects the future made me start up a local after-school group for young children who could not afford to go to school or gain access to quality education.
I have always felt the need to help others, and this stirred my passion for children’s rights’ all through my university days whilst contributing my quota towards ensuring an enviable future for underprivileged and displaced children.
I live and breathe sustainability and my experience in Women Banking has heightened my passion. I am actively involved in the Bank’s projects that ensure positive social impact, especially when children, youth and women are involved.
I also currently volunteer for One Africa Child Foundation, an NGO dedicated to supporting African children in marginalized communities, one child at a time, to provide research and graphic services for the organization.
I have found my peace with sustainability and I hope to increase my exposure in international development and one day, I will introduce and implement policies that will change our education systemforour"future leaders of tomorrow".
