2. A fun-filled summer to make up for last year
Last year, we missed out on a LOT of fun during the summer. Lovely weather isn't quite the same when you don't have the freedom to hang out with your pals and do the exciting things you want to. We predict that the summer of 2021 will be one to remember. Hopefully, some sense of normality will have returned by then, and we'll be able to make up for lost time and truly appreciate the best season of the year.
3. Lots of re-arranged sporting events
If you're an expat living abroad, one of the best ways to stay connected with your home country is by supporting your compatriots in sporting events. Several major events were cancelled last year and were pushed back to 2021. The Olympics and the European Football Championships are two events you'll be able to cheer your heart out to later this year.
4. University life getting back to normal
For most students, the last year has been a tricky one - it probably wasn't the style of student life you planned at the start of your university course. Luckily though, now that things are getting back to normal, you can start looking forward to a more immersive and enjoyable university experience, in your living, learning and socialising.
5. Seeing family and friends
And finally, the last item on the list is probably the most important. Keeping up close connections with our family and friends is part of human nature, but the restrictions in 2020 made that very difficult. 2021 will be a year where we can all get together again and spend quality time with our loved ones in person, rather than over video calls.
