Hope it won't take long before we realise
Hope we care quick before it trivializes Guess we can heal the world rather than galvanize
Because the problem we created we can't even summarise
It's time we specify
not generalize
Mother earth isn't happy
Yes, she is agonised
After she had given us a lot in sacrifice We still claimed we aren't satisfied Hence dealt with her like a vice
Little did we know it won't be easy to survive
We cut a tree
Just to drink tea
Forgetting we will need it
To trap heat
Now this heat melt wax
For heat makers pay no tax
We carelessly released the killing gas And seized the healing gas
I hope it won't take long
to start caring for our lungs
Work assiduously to correct the wrong Yes, the wrong we did while we climbed the rung
All we needed was wealth
We never considered our health Now we grasp for breath Battling from birth to death
Let's get to work!
