It was a calm and quiet Wednesday morning, the BSM had just finished her store review and was on her way back to her desk at 8.30am. A tall customer walked up to her and introduced himself as Christopher. He had an urgent request and asked if they could talk in private to which, the BSM obliged and walked him to quiet area.
Christopher started explaining he was expecting some funds soon, he wasn't exactly sure when but in the meantime he pleaded to borrow N1,500 so that he could buyhimselfbreakfastfortheday.
The BSM informed him about the range of digital loans available if he dialed *90111# She even told about quick loans he could access from his mobile app too.
Christopher said he did not have an account with the Bank. She told him access to the loans was one of the many benefits available if only he had an account with the Bank and then she gave him an account opening form and told him to
passport photograph and ID card at hand.
Little did he know the tools he required were at his fingertips. A clear example of my people perish for lack of knowledge!!!
