It is a debit card issued to Access Bank account holders. It may be issued on either the InterSwitch or the VISA platform
A debit card is an electronic payment card issued to you by your bank. It can be linked to one or more of your bank accounts. When you use a debit card to make payments or get cash, the money is deducted directly from your bank account. You can use a debit card on any ATM, PoS terminal or even on the internet.
Inter Switch is a local card scheme, while V-Pay is a Visa International product strictly for the Nigerian market.
Fill our card requisition form, and select which of your accounts you wish to link the card to. Drop the form at any Access Bank branch.
Mpower card is issued to Access Bank's salary account (Mpower) holders. The product allows the card holder to draw up to 75% of their monthly salary as an advance, and allows 2 free ATM transactions per month on other banks' ATMs, amongst other things.
It is the only card that gives you instant access to credit, 24 hours a day (Salary advance & overdraft)
Simply open an Mpower account.

The very first transaction on your Interswitch card MUST be a PIN change. Thereafter, your card is activated for subsequent transactions. V-pay cards come activated for now. PINs are 4 digits only.
Your card is configured to allow you 3 cash withdrawal transactions a day, to a maximum amount of N20,000.00 per transaction.
The following transactions can currently be carried out on an ATM: Cash withdrawal, balance inquiry, PIN change, funds transfer between own accounts, mini-statement rendition and airtime purchase.
Yes. the card can be used to purchase goods and services at any outlet where Interswitch and/or V-pay cards are accepted.
Yes. Look for the V-Pay or InterSwicth logo on the site you wish to purchase from and follow the instructions.
Yes. The expiry date is embossed on the face of the card. Renewed cards will be issued automatically prior to expiry.
NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PIN to a third party. Doing so will compromise your card and make you responsible for all commitments undertaken by them.
Please call any of the following numbers: 01-271 2005 - 7, 0806 274 5899 or 0802 616 3719, and request that the card be hotlisted immediately. You might be asked a few questions to confirm you are the actual owner of the card.
Using a debit card eliminates the risks associated with carrying large sums of money. A lost or stolen debit card can be hotlisted while the funds remain safe in the account(s) linked to it.
No you cannot. You can spend only what you have in your account. However, Mpower card holders enjoy credit privileges on their cards.
The card becomes useless. You will need a new card. Please ensure you do not forget your PIN.
Card issuance is free of charge and re-issuance at expiration is free. However, if you lose your card, it will cost just N1,000.00 to get a new one.
