Point of Sale (PoS) Terminals
A PoS terminal is a portable electronic device that enables the processing of credit and debit card payments for products and services at retail locations. The PoS terminal provides a convenient, modern and efficient means of processing payment online in real-time.

  • Fast processing: The transactions can be processed within four-to-eight seconds via an internet connection
  • Multi card acceptability: The PoS terminal accepts all cards including international Visa and Mastercard debit/credit cards and all local debit/credit cards

Requirements for a Prospective Merchant

How to acquire a PoS terminal:
  • A prospective Merchant must maintain a Current account with Access Bank.
  • The Merchant is required to complete a PoS Application form.
  • Following receipt and approval of the completed PoS application, the PoS machine will be deployed to the Merchant’s sales location within 72 hours in Lagos and 8 days in upcountry locations.
